Championship Edition is on ps+. Wondering if a run through the story and a fee arcade modes is worth it before deciding to go with SF6?

If you enjoy having currently a LOT of variety on characters, I would go for SFV. But if you are more of gameplay mechanics, and having a quite extensive (if a little dull depending on your tastes) Open World mode, I would skip V and go straight to 6.

The "story" mode of SFV is kind of a joke IIRC. I think it's mostly some cutscenes and mostly 1 round fights with no reward other than to continue the story.

Edit: Forgot to mention, but the online modes are not even comparable. SF6 netcode is absolutely Top Tier quaility. Depending on where you live Matchmaking might be iffy, but there are some ways to make it workable without the need of a VPN or similar.

I would only recommend it for vs. fighting with others because it's got a cool selection of characters. The story mode is garbage.

SF5 doesn't have Q, but it does have a character called G who has a Q costume.
