As a huge phantasy star online fan who's favorite game ever is still PSO episode 1 and 2 to this day, PSO 2 when it come's to its general gameplay actually isn't that bad a game.

What holds this game back from being as great as it's predecessor is that sega created way too goddamn many sub-systems that to be honest isn't even needed. Pages of random bullshit you have to memorize. Even when you first boot up the game you are smacked in the face with one of the most awful user interfaces ever created.

What hurts it the most is that sega also pushed this game to be more of a microtransaction whale-hunting machine compared to the original PSO's simple "get on, play either solo or with friends, find rares, show rares and their special effects to friends, find more rares the end".

PSO 2 when you get down to it is pretty much "get on, play some gacha for this cute female character outfit or cast part. Spend more money playing dress up. Female character outfits is life. Play gacha for this collab/cross-promotional outfit. Persona 3, 4, and 5 outfits! Limited time spend now".

PSO 2 absolutely prints money for sega since the japanese playerbase utterly adores their gacha crap so the old PSO style is most likely never coming back.

Bayonetta 3 making you cycle through characters you play as in story mode as opposed to it being Bayonetta 95% of the time and someone else that last 5% as part of some unique story event or something.

It's not the biggest difference, but I just really prefer the way the first two games did it, and not the way 3 did it.

WWE '13 had some fun gameplay and paid a very detailed homage to the Attitude Era.

But it somehow shipped without two counts. A wrestling game with no two counts. Everyone kicked out of everything at 1 or didn't kick out at all.

i finished it last night. on 0. i can't say if i'll be able to complete kiwami through 6 (depends on the completionist requirements).
because the two things i suck at most is baseball and pool (i plan to play them even if i miss one or two trophy's).

legend difficulty is what remains. i'll have to overkill it if i need to because i lack a strategy other than mr shakedown and 50 completion points.

Mahjong made me hate the series. Baseball is alright depending on the game (part of one game is built around it), and pool is alright. Also, I hate golf, both irl and in video games.

Wind Waker -- the graphics
Shadows of the Empire -- the Slave One boss fight

If you play on medium or harder, it's impossible to form any sort of strategy against Slave One. It will shoot you and the only you can win is to have more health/lives in reserve than it has.

A boss fight is supposed to be a test of skills acquired throughout a mission or else it's supposed to teach you new strategies through trial and error. You're supposed to watch for patterns and look for openings. All this boss fight does is measure to see if you've conserved enough lives and powerful weapons to trade shots with it and win.

That's easily enough to ruin a game for me.

Cronos and co isn't killed, no evidence are pointing to that happens. You know how Chrono Trigger works, if something wrong happened then the cast goes back into another time to prevent it.
And this also proves that you don't understand Cross, it's about the discarded timelines. When you changed a timeline, the old timeline are not simply vanish. That's why in Another world Porre is not expanding it's conquest and in Home they are.

Dalton may be was a comic relief, but so did Kefka before he took out the statues .

It's another game with connection, not a sequel. Like Saga Frontier is not a sequel for Romancing Saga (FF Legend), or Romancing Saga itself is not a sequel to Saga.

I want to agree, but Ocarina of Time solidified for me (at least at the time) that Legend of Zelda was meant to be Lord of the Rings or Dungeons and Dragons. It could have lighthearted moments, but it was meant to be a serious adventure with a stoic hero, legitimate stakes, and dark enemy designs.

In hindsight, it's the Ocarina of Times and Twilight Princesses that are the black sheep of the series. Zelda was inspired by Peter Pan and is meant to be a happy and colorful adventure. But you could not have told that to me back then. Nor could you realistically make me let go of the grudge today.

I LOVE me some 2D Legend Of Zelda. My top 20 list of games includes most of the 2D Zeldas in it. I frequently replay them, and have streamed LTTP Rando extensively.

The goddamn mandatory touch controls for Phantom Hourglass and gagsSpirit Tracks ruined both games for me. As in played each one for maybe 5 minutes before saying "Fuck this noise" and returning the game to Gamestop for a refund. I understand both games have a following but to me the controls just absolutely ruined any chance I had of enjoying them.

And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm not anti-touch controls as a whole. The World Ends With You (DS version) is in my top 5 games and it has arguably the most complicated version of touch controls ever made.

I don't know if it "ruined" a game, because I had many years of enjoyment out of it, but a re-evaluation of the programming in WWF No Mercy has led me to unofficially retire from the game. The game is rigged in ways that attempts to "git gud" will never account for.

The game's algorithm decides whether or not you win. The difficulty will randomly spike on any level medium or above. And if the game decides, they can make it impossible to win by conventional gameplay. You can kick an opponent in the back and the game will register it as a counter, repositioning you so that you're standing in front of your opponent with them holding your foot. An opponent on their leg can stagger back to their feet and the moment you grab them, they counter. At which point, your character may be held to the mat as if gravity had increased ten fold. The opponent, who was nowhere near achieving a special move, can suddenly jump in their momentum and hit you with one out of nowhere. And even if you have enough stamina to withstand it, the game can give them a second one out of nowhere that you won't kick out of.

Sometimes, the game will go into auto-counter mode and it will pass after a period of time. Other times, it goes into auto-counter mode and remains that way for the duration of the match. It can reach a point where the only way to win is to exploit thinking-outside-the-box tactics like pulling an opponent out of the ring from the outside, running away and taunting to get your spirit meter up, or throwing weapons at an opponent from outside of the ring so that you won't be disqualified.

It's not fun to be forced to wrestle as if I were the cowardly bad guy. It's okay if I want to play the game that way. But the game shouldn't be able to say to me, "There's nothing you can do to beat this guy in a fair fight. You're going to have to exploit cheap tactics or lose."

The ps3 versions of fallout new vegas and fallout 3 with all dlcs installed ran horrendously after my save file had gone past the 10 mb mark. Both main game and Dlcs would play at less than 10 fps in certain locations. Using vats had a slight chance of crashing the game or take like 5 mins to go through the process because of the game running at 1 fps. At 14 mb mark (roughly around 120 hours) I was experiencing immediate crashes at the scrapyard and other locations in fallout 3. For New Vegas the game started to crash every 10-20 mins. Sometimes even less if i was in a part of the Mojave desert with sand caught in the wind.

I had to abandon my save files .
