I remember the version of Treetop Rock in the Donkey Kong Country port being crappy. You couldn't even hear the bass and so it didn't even sound like the original at all. Not quite on topic but it puzzled me how bad the music in Harmony of Disoance was. The fucking Gameboy Castlevanis had better music , even the shitty first game --- Rip Politics board. Not that anything on there actually mattered ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's because the music samples were compressed. But the GBA sound chip is not good enough, but it isn't so bad if you hear the uncompressed versions of the game music. --- Once you're aware of your own art, you can train yourself to identify and replicate the "good" ones...
