What are some other big pop culture properties that survived their initial popularity and became lasting icons? What Nickelodeon has done with the franchise is throw everything against the wall to see what sticks. They need to commit to a format. Are they going to be bright and colorful or dark and edgy? People need to know what to expect when they see the name Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
