I'm sorry tc, it really sucks. My father managed to drain the entirety of my bank account when I was 17, took around $25k. Granted only a part of that was money I had made working as a teen, a large part was from my grandparents. But I was pretty gutted when I went to the bank to withdraw some money only to find that I had like $2 and change. Just never expected something like that.

Basically, he was the only person in the house alone at any point yesterday, based on the camera he left the house for maybe 30 minutes out of the whole day.

My mother has a hard time going up and down stairs so she avoids making a lot of trips. Which means he had the upstairs to himself after me and my sister went to work.

Due to my job and last connections I get a lot of shoes for close to 80% off. With the one catch being personal/gift use only, and hes been caught selling those multiple times in the past. He also has the least understanding about how much some of this stuff is actually worth.

It couldnt be my sister cause she doesnt drive and the ring camera would of caught her walking to an Uber infront of the house.

So basically it either him, or someone snuck into the house by the garage while he was in the house.

So get your own storage instead of taking three different places. I'd probably do the same to family that forced that on me. Hoarder.

He was the first person I asked about it and he has denied it multiple times, and was actually shocked when I mentioned how much that stuff was worth. ( Honestly the fact that I know he sold it for about 1/8 of the value at best pisses me off just as bad as the fact I just cant get some of that stuff back )

I've built competitive Standard/Type-2 decks for Magic tournaments for less than that in the past.

And I got to actually use and enjoy the things I bought.

see I lost the shelving set up I had when I moved into this place with my family last month my last place had a built in unit. It made no sense for me to buy a shelving unit for a place I didnt plan on living in long term.

plus you clearly dont know how much the type of shelving I would need cost.

it was quoted at around 4000 dollars. ( most shelving units or bookcases dont have deep enough shelves to store shoes flush, and the ones that do I would need multiple of bare minimum 5)

thats not deep enough. I would need a book case thats at least 16 inches deep. Even if it was deep enough I would need more than 4 of those, Id need bare minimum 20 based on that dimensions

3 years but we as a family moved 30 days ago from the place we where currently renting cause it was sold unexpectedly.

Certain sneakers are a 300-500% ROI and increase as time goes on. Meaning even a used pair is profit, and thats separate from my social media accounts and the money I make off them.

Ive never flexed on anyone in the topic so its alot of weird assumptions

if you read the whole topic a lot of the value in my collection comes from good ROI, not spending recklessly. Part of the reason Im so pissed is the items stolen are valued at around 1.5 k on the low end but I paid sub 600 dollars for it.

and personally Ive never been too interested in owning a house especially in my mid to late 20s. Now that Im a little older the idea of having somewhere permanent for my future kids sounds nice but Im not in a rush to purchase as a single man.

I moved back home to help my family out, which let me invest more into stock and travel more and buy more shoes obviously but I havent been in a shitty situation financially, since I was 27. And push come to shove I could liquidate alot of my collection for a down payment of a house.
