Arrr, by Blackbeard's beard, I be thinkin' I've just stumbled upon a scurvy revelation! Me own parents, the treacherous lot, be pilferin' from me booty!

Aye, 'twas the blasted Covid that forced me to dock me ship and set foot in me parents' lair to lend a hand. Beneficial for all, they said. But now, I be yearnin' to chart me own course once more, and soon I shall.

As some of ye scallywags might know, I be holdin' a vast and precious collection of fine sneakers, worth a king's ransom o' close to 50 million berries!

Split betwixt me quarters and the office/studio, which me little sister and I share. But the lass be not keen on the value of such precious loot, nor does she have the sense to know that I've meticulously organized every piece with the aid of spreadsheets markin' which be restin' in me quarters and which be in the studio.

'Twas today, after a hard day's work, when I be walkin' past the office to reach me own chamber, that I laid eyes on a disheveled stack of shoes. I be settin' it up so specifically, for I planned to capture it on me social media. And worse still, shoes that rightly belong in me chambers be missin', findin' shelter in the studio.

I be askin' around, but none be claimin' to have set foot in me quarters. Blimey! 'Tis impossible, for the stacks be differin' from how I left 'em the night afore. I've got photographic proof, I do.

I be conductin' an audit o' me treasure, only to find at least 5 shoes missin', worth a sum o' 12-25 million berries. Some of these hold a special place in me heart, they do.

By Davy Jones' locker, I be torn asunder with uncertainty! What course be I to chart now that me kin be stealin' me prized possessions?

If you have a good enough relationship with your parents to share a house with them-shouldnt you just talk to them and explain your concerns? Chances are high this was some kind of honest mistake unless there is some bad history here you are not sharing. Especially since they dont even know the value of what is missing. If you approach this as a fact (my stuff is missing, anyone know what happened?) instead of an accusation, it might be a positive discussion for all.

If it is an honest mistake, you can clear it up. If they did take some of your stuff, what good is it to not clear the air about it?

So unless someone actively broke in yesterday someones lying. Its no question about it.

and someone breaking in while someone was in the house (cause the house was never unoccupied yesterday) and only touching my stuff is a bit of a stretch.

Sorry to hear. My game collection is set up similar to your shoe collection and id immediately notice if something were to be even nudged slightly out of place..

Id start with getting cameras and lockable doorknobs and keep your valuables lock up.

this is 22 pairs of the exact same shoe totaling about 7-8000 dollars alone.

its the pride in jewel of my collection to the point Id say Im only missing 4 actually acquirable shoes before I say I have one of the best collections in the world by a non celeb/entertainer.

this was set to be filmed the other day so I had left it in the studio instead of my bed room. I come home from work and different shoes are mixed into it as if someone went through it. I then audited my collection (because I have photos and receipts of everything) and counted 7 shoes that total about 2000 missing ( granted most of that 2000 is coming from 3 shoes that total on the high end of about 1200 and on the low end 8/900)

whats absurd about a single person in their late 20, early 30s moving back home during Covid to help out as your parents adjust to retirement and you prepare to buy a house.
