Yeah, unfortunately the problem with trying to do damage on March is that the only methods she has of doing damage are autos/follow-up attacks and her ultimate, which scale off of her Attack/Ice damage, but there are no Preservation light cones that support this, which assume that their wearers want to do damage using scaling off of a stat they're already building - defence. She also only has a couple of traces that increase her Ice damage, which really just leaves you with relics. You could maybe try some kind of gimmicky Break build, but that's a lot of investment needed for a meme build.

Nice! I think I'm just going to craft one tbh. I was considering farming for it but I actually don't need Salsotto for many characters (basically just Himeko and Clara). Meanwhile I have a lot of dmg% and ATK ropes for SSS but all the substats are trash.

Oh I'd still build Def on everything else for sure, but I guess my wonder is if having a strong Ice Damage Orb instead of another Def main stat like everything else would provide better numbers. I imagine there must be a softcap somewhere. Attack scaling softcap is around 3k, I'm....ASSUMING Defense scaling soft cap would be 3k as well?

I have enough purple books to get 2.89 characters from 1 to 80. My suffering is almost over.

...Then I gotta run the Credits Calyx, but that's not nearly as bad. You can get that amount of money pretty easy in just a few days, it's the high level trace prices that are the real money sink.

Yeah I spent a bit more credits and exp than I should have elsewhere, and now I'm gonna be behind on traces. I'm realizing I'm not gonna have the stuff to build Kafka fully when she releases. That's fine. I'm ok with that. Not to mention, Sampo is half-built at 70 but at least he's half-built. That's a good thing. MoC won't rotate for a little while after she releases so I'll have some time to put the team together anyways. And I don't have anything for Luka but, you know, there's no guarantee I'll get him. And actually I do have his LC maxed out already. So it's ok. I do NOT need to buy the battle pass. I'm very patient. This is fine.

Need to do some math to figure out how much I need to get the rest of my 4*s to 80. Excluding Luka and Sampo...

Over 50% of the exp needed is from 70 to 80, so I'd probably get everyone to 70 first for the tickets before continuing, except maybe Tingyun who I really should already have to 80...

Most people seem to be leveling supports to 75 to save resources, that gets you most (all but 1) of their trace nodes.

But also I wouldn't even bother for characters you don't plan on using, except maybe going to 60 for the rail passes.

That may be true but dealing with gearing everyone or even just doing a whole bunch of inventory swapping is a huge hassle. Especially because different characters need different levels of investment.

True, but it's mainly about just the level 80 goal for now. Basically getting to a point where I no longer have a need to run Book Calyx ever again, with the battlepass and regular rewards being enough to account for the new character flow.

Will eventually do the same for LC Capsules, getting all those to 80. That's a little different where I will need to build a 2nd copy after reaching S5, so it's less predictable. That said, we're not going to be getting new 4* light cones as consistently, we've only had 1 so far. Based on the current leaked 4* character roster almost all already being on a light cone as it is, probably not much until 2.0.

Basically, I want to make it so I never have to worry about Golden Calyx grinding at all outside of Credits. It's just, like....a mental hurdle, lol.

Fair enough, I guess I just prefer to stockpile them over time from events and such and only run exp/money nodes if I totally run out.

Speaking of which, there's still a major event this patch coming but I can't find any sort of date for it? Weird.

Used the 5 Silver Tickets from the refreshed Embers Shop and got 4 Meshing Cogs lol. That gives me 2 S5 Cogs, the best 3* pull you can get!

It's not even necessarily meta! Basic attack damage increase is whatever outside of characters like Blade for now, and even he could benefit from Salsotto's follow-up attack buff AND the Ultimate buff, while the Arena Skill buff...does nothing for him, right?

It definitely can be very good on some characters, but it's not nearly as universal as Salsotto.

The secret is that SSS, Salsotto, and Arena are mostly within 5% of each other, if that, on most characters. I went back to farming SSS for that reason (well, plus the dot crew likes it and also I need Fleet ER ropes).

Arena is just the new hotness, and I think also is benefitting from people who have hyperinvested in launch units like Seele and Yanqing to meet the ratios, both of whom get a lot of their damage by spamming skill.

Kafka trailer was pushed to Monday (or Tuesday, depending on timezones I think?),I assume to not overlap with the Genshin stuff.

Finally a date for the big event. Drops the same day as Kafka and goes to the end of the patch. I figured as much but it was still weird.

Also a date for the double cavern relic event, last week of the patch as well. I'm definitely gonna appreciate that little boost.

Realized I'm going to have 16 Herta Bucks around when the Herta Shop Nihility Come release (I'm just assuming this releases with 1.3).

Probably...better to just get the S1 for it and the Destruction cone, rather than immediately S5 the Nihility one? The Destruction one is at least decent, and that path only has a few descent cones.

If I'm trusting leaks, and also taking into consideration what my actual options are, I'll probably end up going for the Destruction or Hunt banner Cone I'm 1.4.

The Kafka Banner Cone is excellent, but even if I'm hungry for Nihility Cones right now the actual OPTIONS for Nihility cones are pretty damn good. Stuff like Destruction and Hunt are more lacking on the 4* front quality wise, even with decent and good 5* Herta Shop cones respectively.

Preservation has good cones, Abundance has really good Cones, Harmony has GREAT Cones (and it's 1.6 before a new Harmony 5* shows up at bare minimum, unless Harmony TB shows up before then), and Erudition...I mean it's a pretty mid selection, but how many Erudition Cones do you need, really?

Just met Xueyi and I hope shes summonable in the future. Also still trying to get to the event that ends today, but I have no idea how much more I need to do to open it and it closes today lol

You shouldn't be running daily assignments on anything but ascension materials. You're gonna feel pain in the future if this part of your inventory doesn't look like this!

yeah, when i need enemy drop mats it never takes too long to hunt everything down. Meanwhile I'm constantly short on cash and XP.

Naw there's no way that miniscule baby Exp or cash will ever be worth giving up an ascension material slot for a day.

My nearly 3 months worth of nonstop ascension assignments is barely enough to max out a single character per material requirement, but that's still 6 characters worth in total. Running the experience book assignment every single day for those 3 months would not been even close to enough to get a single character to 80.

That said maybe if I was grinding mobs things would be different, but I literally never fight enemies in the overworld unless I'm physically unable to avoid them.

Update on 1.4 releases, seeing people saying the order may be reversed from what was expected, now Topaz first, then Jing Liu.

i don't understand this perspective. you can just get 100 of the drop materials in ten minutes or whatever. Meanwhile, XP and money are both stamina-gated. Stamina is the premium, the drops i can get while watching anime or whatever and *shrug

yeah i feel like i get more than enough just doing simulated universe bosses but maybe i'm underindexed on trace farming

Kafka has been out for a couple hours on the home server.

Lots of doom and gloom prerelease that Kafka needed her sub DPS parter units to work out, but apparently that was all bunk and even as a solo carry she is putting out Seele numbers in some instances.
