Always rubbed me the wrong way, personally.
It's not that it isn't 8 bit. I liked 7.

With 8, almost nothing sticks apart from the voices. Can't remember the music, I barely remember any of the weapons.
Haven't played 11 but I get a similar feeling from it.

Not really, but classic Mega Man is my least favorite Mega Man series to begin with.

It's fun and had a good style to it. Music is the only weak point

I can't put my finger on it but I feel like I'm playing as a weak version of Mega Man.
It might be the big animated walk cycle and the slow move speed.
Might be the sound. Special weapons are kinda meh apart from Astro Man's screen filler.

I like it. It's not as good as a lot of other Mega Man games but it's still fun.

And maybe I'm in the minority but I do like the music.

edit: The English voice acting is bad but it's kinda like the voice acting in RE1 where it's entertainingly bad.

One of the weaker MM titles, but it's still okay.

I think its alrght. For me, every classic Megaman is in the same vein if being lretty good while also being outclassed by the X series

It's my least favourite of the Classic Mega Man franchise, but there's not a single entry in the series that I dislike.

You know what else?
Less room for interpretation.
In the old games you get to scrounge up little clues and make up your own personalities for robots. Here they do it for you. Not just the robot masters. Mega Man's talking, he's got the high pitched voice. You're not getting your headcanon version of Mega Man this time, today you're getting Rock Man.

Way too true. Read your topic title and all that came to mind with "Jump. Jump. Slide"

It's my least favorite in the classic series, but I wouldn't call it "terrible". The main problems I had with it were just how much of a stepdown a lot of the classic series' mechanics were (no E-Tanks or W-Tanks, no Rush Coil or Jet, etc.), as well as the board levels.

I have. I felt 0% of Mega Man 8 in that game. I would even consider Mega Man 11 to be my favorite in the classic series (at least, in the mechanics department).

Original Japanese intro theme is rockin!
The dub is hilarious
Outside of the Flash Bomb the other weapons aren't that great.
The sled segments are ridiculous
Robot Master fights are memorable.

The game is... okay.

Decent game despite the weak difficulty
