Oh wait he was kinda boring in the new Threenoblade DLC I think he should lose points for that.

Edit: Aw wait but you can dress him like he's going to the beach which means he's gotta get a bunch of cool points to offset that.

XC3 is the safe, boring, dumbed down Xenoblade... I'm having trouble playing through it and I loved every entry in the series up till now.

In the OG Xenoblade, Shulk is very cool, but not in an aloof "high school" way - He's cool in the reliable for his friends and is a hidden badass that never wanted to be some great hero of destiny... but just kind of accepts it because it would let everyone down if he didn't.

I like him more than Rex I guess. I was pretty disappointed that he immediately backed off on his revenge when he found out Metal Face was human so then he just turned into a typical protagonist for me. Particularly when the plot decides to kill Mumkhar anyway.

Dunban is the actual cool one in the party to me.

Shulk is the Milhouse of this duo.
Being seen around Reyn - The fusion of Gene from God Hand and the Garbage Day guy himself - does nothing to improve peoples' first impressions of Shulk.

Yeah things really shifted there. Like can't Metal Face die first and then Shulk second-guesses what he's been doing later at least?
Instead you get this Scooby Doo and the Mechonis business where Shulk forgets his hatred because he wants to uncover the truth of the universe all of a sudden.

Not gonna say anything outright bad or demeaning about Shulk.
But he's no Tiddus.
