At first, I was kind of put off because it wasnt faithful to the classic animation roots, but after getting further in, it really feels more like a 90s cartoon, ala Rocko or Ren and Stimpy. Really good animation, expressions, and slapstick. This could hVe easily been a Nickelodeon show in the 90s.
