Use Night Mode on your tv, it'll basically keep the volume range narrower
Or upgrade your system and stop relying on shitty tv speakers

I have a Sonos beam soundbar with two Sonos surround sound speakers and a small Sonos portable speaker, all hooked up to the movie. Night mode is on for my Sonos.

It's still loud as fuck during explosions and super low for talking while watching The Dark Knight on Max.

On my Sonos app I have:

EQ:
Bass 0
Treble 0
Loudness - checked as on

Trueplay tuning

Surround Audio:
Surrounds - checked as on
TV Level 0
Music Level 0
Music playback -Ambient
Surround Distance for Left and Right noted in the app

Volume Limit - 100% (Maximum allowed volume)

TV Dialog Sync
(Set at 0)

Group audio delay - set at Low 75ms

Use IR - checked as on

Status light and Touch controls on

That's pretty much it. I don't see an option to disable stereo on Sonos or my TV (my TV doesn't list many audio options)

This is your problem somewhere in here is a fucky setting. Try turning off surround sound and see if the voice is any better.
