Like if I want a friend to have access to my games, is it as easy as letting them log into my account from their computer?

Yes, but also you can library share with Steam without having to leave your account logged in. They'd be able to play your Steam games from their account as long as you aren't currently using your own library. All you'd have to do is log into their computer once, then authorize the computer for library sharing in the Steam family settings (as well as give them individual permission).

Not all games can be shared through family sharing though.

It is if you don't have 2FA set up. If you do he'll probably have to use a code every time he tries to log in

Yup. I've only encountered a game that can't be shared once, though. Most games seem to be sharable in my experience.

This is true, but they are typically games with a secondary launcher through crappy Publishers being greedy. Like Ubisoft and their crappy uPlay launcher or Rockstar and their even crappier launcher.
