No idea why Oppenheimer is even showing in my country (I'm Malaysian). Most of the people watching Oppenheimer here probably has no clue who he is and is only watching because of Nolan.

A lot of people in the US dont know who Oppenheimer is, either.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, it is showing in our theaters but I don't foresee a lot of hype over it.

People are only watching it because of Nolan's track record.

In truth, I'm really wondering WHO this movie was made for in this day and age.

This is 100% the kind of movie that would be a success in the 90's, where there's actually a chance that people that lived though it can go see it, or a slightly younger generation that was taught about it in school.

Now, with 60% of movie goers being 35 or younger, no one has any real interest in this story other than for the spectacle that is a Nolan film shot in IMAX will probably be pretty visually stunning.
