The majority of net-users don't even use adblockers or even know how to install them in some cases, and in Youtube's case, the vast majority of viewers use the mobile app, which of course play ads unless the user pays for Premium. Seems like they're freaking out over a drop in the proverbial bucket, but I guess they want to squeeze as much money out of a perpetually-unprofitable venture as they can... --- Eat the rich Destroy the GOP ... When Apple added a thing in an iPhone update to block all invisible tracking with one button it caused Facebook to freak the fuck out with claims of it costing billions Google is threatened enough by the idea of this fundamental anti-malware protection that they've been trying to make it impossible to do in their own browser for years now.
