Pain

Eh, I'm up anyway. It truly sucks to be the people across the hall with a baby that barely sleeps through the night without a concrete saw 20 yards away.

I kinda get it because it beats the Summer heat, but I'm guessing the noise and light pollution in your neighborhood are high right now with all of those machines and "portable" lights, huh?

They where doing that recently right next to where I lived. Roads where closed from 7pm to 7 am. Closing at 7pm was fine enough for me. But I got off work at 6am meaning I had to go completely out of my way to go home for a little while. I don't think it would have bothered me if it had been a later time it reopened. But only being a hour from when I got off was was irking cause it gave me the notion to go waste time somewhere so I could just take my normal route but at the same time I just wanna go home when I get off

It's also being a pain to less people driving cause there should be less traffick at that time

It's not the heat - it's rather cool right now - it's the traffic. My building fronts onto a major road that can't really afford to be short a couple lanes during the day.

Edit: I guess it technically backs onto the road, as access is out the other side.

As someone who works nights anyway, I have no strong feelings one way or the other with the exception of the time they were working on the water line at night when I had a day off and didn't know they would be turning it off.

I swear I'm inhuman cause not only can I sleep during the day (I'm a night owl) but loud noises don't bother me as long as their consistent.

One time here the overnight temperatures were colder than expected so the road hadnt dried according schedule. End result is an immense traffic buildup in every direction at rush hour.

And I was working nights so of course a journey meant to get me home by 7:30 instead took until nearly 11.
