VirtuousWrath posted... Exactly, 34 and 22 are at hugely different places in life. Yeah why I wasn't bothered dating an adult at 16. chaos_knight posted... What if the 40 year old is just as immature as the 20 year old?I mentioned this in another post but I'll go into a little more depth. A 20 year old who is really the same maturity level as a 40 year old is extremely rare. Immature 40 year olds are a lot more common. So if a 40 year old has the same maturity level as a 20 year old, chances are that's because the 40 year old stopped maturing when they were about at the level of a 20 year old. So the 20 year old is going to mature normally, but the 40 year old is going to stay the same. They may start out in sync with each other but as the 20 year old matures and the 40 year old doesn't, that's going to change. And the 20 year old is going to get more and more fed up with the manchild's (or womanchild's) bullshit. --- And who are you, my little friend? Not a spoon... not a fork... but something in between. A fpoon. What will you think of next, Germany? ... Copied to Clipboard!

[LFAQs-redacted-quote] Sure, but in the context of making swift judgment calls, I'd say it's just more likely it's too big of an age gap to work. If it was my 34 year old pal and they were asking me advice I'd be saying "dude, that's a big gap. Like, tell me she's at least graduated, has her own place, a career. If you say she's at home with mum and dad and she works part time in hospitality and the other half on OF then this is not gonna end well for you." --- CE's Resident Scotsman. http://i.imgur.com/ILz2ZbV.jpg ... action52 posted... I mentioned this in another post but I'll go into a little more depth.Throwing something out there. It doesn't have to be maturity per se, it can simply be where one is in life. I got divorced at 40 and I had no local friends. I also had been with her since 19 and never experienced much. I started just going out to bars near my place and attending Meetups. I quickly made a lot of friends, most of whom were like 5 to 18 years younger. This also became my dating pool as well. So maybe my lifestyle was a little immature, but otherwise I was mostly mature. --- Currently playing: Final Fantasy XVI ... Copied to Clipboard!
