After months of probing and multiple investigations, authorities in northwestern Oregon now believe the mysterious deaths of four young women are connected, the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office announced Monday.

Thats really messed up if the previous governor released him early ad then he killed a bunch of women

In the wake of those deaths, WW has learned, officials contacted Gov. Tina Koteks office about Calhoun. As Browns successor, Kotek has the authority to end any of the commutations, which are conditional. Kotek did so in Calhouns case, leading to his arrest.

The governors office received a request to revoke Jesse Lee Calhouns commutation status from the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office on July 3, 2023, and fulfilled the request the same day, says Koteks spokeswoman, Elisabeth Shepard. We do not have further comment as this is a pending investigation.

Interesting.
So, if a governor commutes a sentence, the sentence can be re-instated at the whim of the governor (not sure if that's the right way to phrase it)?

Glad the governor did it and took the guy off the streets before he had a chance to run.

In fairness, he was a minor offender with no indication of this, and the killings started after his original sentence
