Don't pet a rottweiler while it's eating. When I was about 10 years old, I was visiting someone's house with family. I can't remember where this was or who we were even visiting. I think it was after church or something. The only thing that sticks out in my mind about this event was this moment. I walked out into the back yard where some people were sitting around a table. I remember it was in the fall because there were red and brown leaves on trees and on the ground.

They had some dogs eating out of some dog bowls that were right next to trees. I bent down to pet one of them and it immediately started barking and snapping its jaws at me. I had an immediate reaction without even thinking about it. I stood up, balled my hands up into a fist and pulled my hands up by my face. The dog started biting at my dress pants, but I didn't care about that at all, lol.

I remember standing there for a bit, frozen in place. The dog went back to eating after a few seconds. With my hands still up by my face, I looked up and someone asked, "You alright?" I nodded my head yes.

"Yeah, don't pet a dog while it's eating," he said

Yeah, I know that now, man. Thanks, LOL.
