I thought that said rare replay at first and was confused.

I've "enjoyed" there games many time over the years, hell I even still have koikatsu After Party with the latest hongfire patch sgill installed for VR fun. But their games were way to jank to qualify as the best jp dev.

hongfire died a silent death, at least to my circles.

to this day i dont even know what did them in, that place felt more active than gamefaqs at certain points.

They got dmca'd so much no service provider would agree to host them.

Their games are only barely games.

At least with something like Take Me To The Dungeon!! There's actual strategy and thought involved.

Does anyone know the actual reason the studio is shutting down? All of the games available in the West are popular, and if you like that sort of thing at all, the studio does have name recognition...not all of which is entirely positive, of course.

I've seen this posted in several areas where adult Japanese content is discussed, and nobody seems to know what the deal is.

I actually was worried and thought for a second someone like Shigeru Miyamoto had suddenly died

Well twenty years is a pretty damn long time for a smaller Japanese studio to exist, let alone one that specializes in porn, and while they were popular, they were also heavily pirated. I'm guessing their actual profit margin was fairly thin and what with inflation going bonkers worldwide they make ght have just finally been priced out.

Yeah, but people don't pay for their porn, at least not in the west, so they pirate everything they can.

Doesn't matter how popular it is when everyone just takes some torrent they found on some imageboard and fill it with mods or other usermade content however they want.

• Good eroge with a plot to make you horny
• Stupid and straightforward sandbox stuff when you are already horny.

Not even the best adult game makers.

Even Alicesoft is better.

Thought this was gonna be about Treasure. I'm surprised they're still active, considering they haven't made a new game in almost a decade.
