jeff bridges being the obvious discount tommy lee jones.

I liked it ok enough, but not as much as critics seemed to. Movie was painfully slow in places

chris pine and ben foster were pretty good in it. I wasn't expecting him to get away with it

I dunno, I feel like the only similarities they have is that they're neo-westerns that focus on criminals.

both are great, IMO, with NCfOM being the better of the two.

yeah i didn't care for it much, but mostly because i don't like Chris Pine. i only gave it a shot because Taylor Sheridan is generally a really good writer.

Oh you don't like chris pine either? Yeah I haven't been a fan of him much in the past 20 years of stuff I've glimpsed of him, but I'm assuming once I watch that recent dungeons and dragons movie I might like him.

he plays a decent villain in Smokin' Aces, IMO.

it's an overall ridiculous movie, though, but I thought it was fun.

I thought it was really damn good. No Cpuntry is better but I consider No Country to be among the best movies of all time.

Smoking Aces is fine because of the ridiculousness imo

That being said, what is it about taylor sheridan that you liked? I just skimmed his credits and he wrote those Sicario movies? I liked those. There's another movie of his called Wind River that I'm wondering if I'd like. I remember I was gonna get this but forgot after reading up on the missing native american women crisis

true, but sometimes when people hear "ridiculous", it's a turn off for them, but SA benefits from it.

yea, I'd definitely recommend Wind River.

Jeremy Renner & Elizabeth Olsen were really good in it.

I say stylized, because tbf while it's over the top it's with a very specific vision in mind.

I really liked wind river. a necessary story with great, emotional performances throughout and high tension moments with explosive endings. my biggest complaint is that I wish they cast a native actor for Jeremy renner's role. Renner was good but the movie could have been better and I think it would have made a bigger impact too without two white people headlining a story about native americans.
