If its anything besides backing up game saves (which I dont think PS5 even lets you do another shitty way to force people to pay for basic shit like cloud saves), copying files to it, or manually updating its firmware, its a bad idea. Installing games onto a thumb drive is a terrible idea. You would want an external drive for that, or better, just get a bigger one. 2 TB Samsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 SSDs were on sale for $129 for Prime Day, and I got two of them.
