Being a police officer should require a minimum of a 4 year bachelor's degree in addition to extensive police training. I feel like having educated professionals would stop easily 90% of the garbage behaviour we see in so many police officers.

Unfortunately, we're left with police forces that are filled with violent insecure guys who have cream dreams of killing something and thereby becoming a Big Man.

the numbers for how many dogs cops kill every year is impressive. It's almost like they resort to the highest level of violence too quickly.

I'm always greatful my mom stopped a cop from shooting my dog. He wad there to pick up her husband for a failure to appear (on a speeding ticket) he said Allright but it's cold out let me get a coat. Cop seemed to suddenly have the idea he'd run out the back door and tried entering the house. I was actively trying to grab my dog when I saw this and he still tried pulling his gun but my mother snatched his arm and cussed him out for it.

I've seen more than a few dog shootings watching police body cam channels on youtube. They're constantly firing their guns when they probably don't need to be.
