Paragon21XX 07/08/23 1:31:59 PM #17:	My Mazda CX-50 has the least jarring idle stop feature I've experienced (shutting down and restarting is quite smooth as it barely uses the starter motor to crank the engine, and the lag time before I can accelerate again is also quite minimal), so I don't mind it at all. I can also prevent the idle stop from kicking in by only lightly pressing the brake pedal, so it's not like it kicks in every time I come to a stop such as in heavy traffic. Doesn't seem to save that much fuel overall though according to the logs, but it's still better than the alternative of unnecessarily wasting gas when waiting at a stop light. NoxObscuras 07/12/23 4:27:51 PM #42:	My car has it and I like it. It's never been an inconvenience. And at least for my car, it's very controllable. It only cuts off the engine if I press down the brake pedal 100% of the way. Whereas the car comes to a complete stop at about 75% pressure. So if I'm not expecting to stop for long, I simply won't press the brake pedal down with full force.
