Ive watched the first 4 episodes, and I feel like very little has happened. They just run a shitty restaurant and bicker. One of the best shows i've seen in recent years, it's pretty outstanding for what it is. If you aren't invested by 4 episodes, you aren't going to like it. The pace stays about the same, along with the ongoing intensity. I think the people who didn't like Uncut Gems wouldn't like this series either, the ongoing stress levels are similar. --- "They speak of progress, in red, white and blue. At the very least, the (roughly) ep minute episodes means that the show goes by pretty quickly. So I can plow through it to get to the later stuff. MabusIncarnate posted... Usually the people who don't like The Bear have the issue with the constant yelling in the show, there's a pressure to it similar to that movie imo, which I liked also. It definitely has it's payoffs, feel-good moments, drama, but it's very slow paced. I felt the character development was one of the stronger points by the end of the 2nd season, and i'm invested in and care about most of the characters on the show. Me and my wife both worked for restaurants at some point in our lives also, so it's mildly relatable at times too. --- "They speak of progress, in red, white and blue.
