Well reviewed local fast/casual place, what looks good to you off the menu?

I like spicy but not melt your bunghole spicy, so how hot is the yam yam, sassy mayo and gochujang sauces?

EDIT: Not sure why the picture of the menu is uploading blurry

Dukbokki is fantastic.

It's the stuff the MCs daughter was eating in the first episode of Squid Game.

It can be made extremely spicy or only very fucking spicy. I can't get enough of the stuff TBH it's delicious.

Also if you're really indecisive get a Cup Bap (aka Cup Bop) it's like a sampler bowl with a little bit of everything.

Gochujang is a very common sauce in Koran food, it is probably the spiciest sauce they have but I have never found it 'melt your bunghole' spicy so I would recommend that if you like spice.

Kimchi is an acquired taste, it's fermented cabbage and other vegetables. I enjoy it, but if you're ever had sauerkraut and been repulsed by it, I would recommend against it. Otherwise if you've enjoyed fermented vegetables, go for it.

I don't know if a comparison to sauerkraut is accurate. It's got a pretty unique taste. It's very pungent kinda like cranberries but spicy and salty and not even a little sweet.

They are quite different, but I use it as a basis of comparison for people who have no experience with kimchi. I'd welcome your recommendation for other comparable foodstuffs that I can bring up as a basis of comparison.

I was gonna say kimpap, but don't see that there.

Bulgogi and j*pchae are good.

Kimchi fries are great. I've had them with bulgogi and pork belly in the mix.

That's where I got it from as well. I didn't really know how hot it was about to be, but I definitely enjoyed it.

I find it a bit dubious that you would need extra sauce, so unless that is the only way that they are giving you sauce in the first place you might remove those (and if it is a requirement to get sauce, you should just go anywhere else). It's your first time doing Korean, you really aren't going to need extra.

Otherwise it looks fine enough. A bit odd to go and try Korean and get very distinctly not-Korean things (the BBQ Chicken coming across as especially egregious) but that's your choice I suppose. You also are ordering a lot of food so unless you want to eat a lot you might drop a taco or two.

Tasted pretty good, the glassy noodles in the Pop Bap kinda threw me off at first, very worn-like lol.and none of the sauces were overly spicy, nice kick but didnt last long

Demolished all the tacos though, the bulgogi one being the best
