Just started chapter 9.

This is my first Yakuza because I don't play action games. The turn based combat makes the game accessible for me. I can also reliably hit triangle but can't mash square. Perfect defense is rare for me. (My neurological condition makes my reflex and coordination terrible.)

I really enjoy wandering Ijincho and appreciating how different Japanese cities are than Americans. I also found it hilarious that cars can hit you and you can get hurt! I don't think other open world games do this.

I want to play previous Yakuza games I got for free from Humble Choice but I'm anxious about whether I can handle real-time action.

It might actually have my favorite story in the series after probably 2, however I didn't like the turn-based combat as much as I thought I would. By the end of the game I was just spamming the same moves with everybody.

i could have sworn getting hit by a car damages you, but i guess that's not important.

enjoy the game. i absolutely adore it and can't wait for 8.

It does damage you. that's what I found surprising since in other games, cars just immediately halt.

I'm happy that Yakuza/Like A Dragon 8 will also be turn based.
