and the post credits shows the wolf breathing heavily and the back of liam's head but it's not moving. Like what is that trying to imply, that he won the fight but died before the wolf did or that he lost the fight but managed to deal fatal damage to the wolf anyway? I mean his only defense weapon against a predictor that size was broken glass wrapped around his knuckles and a damaged knife, I suppose it's plausable he managed to wound it enough for it to bleed out and die but I can't imagine him being able to actually win the fight itself. Imagine trying to take on a pitbull the size of typical adult bike with weapons like that,do you feel confident you could eek out a victory?

I don't know why this is bothering me this much

Spoilers for the Ending:
There was no wolf, that was an animification of the wilderness, it demonstrated that Liam Neeson was fighting the wilderness, and lost.

So the wolf wasn't actually there? I was watching Liam nelson lose his mind and in his last moments of mania he dies air punching ghost wolves with his hobo knuckles until he dies of hyperthermia? What the hell

He died for sure and most likely mortally wounded the wolf.

I dont think any person could realistically expect to take down a full grown wolf with just some broken glass and knife. It was an act of pure desperation.

That and those broken bottles would probably hurt the user waaaay more than the wolf. I doubt it would even damage the wolf at all through the tough fur. Any type of punch with those would just violently jam them into your fingers and palm and probably break the bone while the sharp part snapped off. That and they were rigged with electrical tape. The snow would break that rig apart so fast.

I assume since it's a wolf it's views are "eat liam nelson after challenging him to a one on one fight for some reason" why would an animal, an animal that apparenlty wasnt even real if jimmy is right, care about a human construct such as drawn pornography?

If you listen carefully, you can also hear Liam breathing as well. The scene remains ambiguous as to who is the survivor.

With no rebuttles I'm forced accept the metaphorical argument over the physical and even so the one true answer is dude is dead, it feels unsatisfying even so.

The whole movie was about fighting against death even when things are looking their worst, and it succeeds as a movie imo. Do not go gently into that good night.

I honestly thought The Grey was one of the better animals as monster movies since Jaws.

It's a niche genre outside of horrid b movies, so it's not the biggest praise, but still. Quite a bit more enjoyable than the average Liam Neeson action trashfire movie.

Great movie. A bit different than what he's been doing lately, which is basically a tough guy saving kids in various settings.
