Krojen 07/02/23 7:47:03 PM #153:	I have a ton of love and nostalgia for SMRPG. I'm not too proud to admit I'd buy even a lazy cash grab. A lot of remakes and Nintendo stuff has that New SMB soulless look. This I would consider a half measure. There's more soul and original style retained than you'd expect from corporate, but there's no denying a decent amount of style is lost when you clean up everything to this degree without accounting for all the cartridge saving low detail duplicate assets that stick out like a sore thumb now. Getting rid of the out of bounds void is great, but would've been nice to breathe more detail into everything else too. Go to a volcano and fight some fire guys. The sewer is a sewer and the desert is a desert. Drop one of Smithy's guys in to be destroyed as fast as he's introduced every now and then. For me the cloud level was a bit of climbing and when spending a while in a mansion where everywhere looked very similar. I think the high point for me was Booster Tower. I said I didn't think the grasslands, sewer, desert, volcano, mine, towns and some others others had a lot of personality or cause to remember them. They were about what you'd expect.
