I want to love this game Im struggling to like it. I dont mind the combat, sometimes its really fun against a boss, but its not what I wanted but still I can go with it but then theres nothing else. Outside of that I feel like all I do is walk around a dead world collecting useless loot and bizarrely endure the worlds most forgiving quick time events in the cutscenes, some of which are very cool to look at but arent engaging.

The normal cutscenes are too long and too often boring. Clive has good VA but he is a boring character, I dont care about him or his struggle and theres NO PARTY. The biggest sin.

I mean, there IS a party, you just can't customize or control them in any way, which is my biggest complaint with the game. Otherwise I'm loving it

That's strange, this is one of the only games recently that I've stuck with.

It took me a few months to finish RDR2 recently and that game is a freaking masterpiece. This one is chalking up to be another amazing game.

Everyone just wants an interactive movie. Ill pass.

I do find it hard to stick with even though I enjoy the story of the game. I just don't feel like the gameplay is very engaging. I don't really enjoy fighting through legions of trash mobs with passive AIs to get to the good parts, and this was a major flaw in FF14 too.

Nah Clive is fantastic, one of the best leads in the entire series.

If you don't like it, don't force yourself to finish it.

I personally am having a great time with it, though. The story is mostly engaging, the levels are beautiful and cozy, the combat is snappy, and the boss fights I've gotten to so far are fucking fantastic.

It honestly feels like an 80s fantasy adventure but made with current graphics at times, which is neat.

You don't have to stick with it.
You could put a different FF game on and decide if you're suddenly having less or more fun.

they like....almost abandoned the decent story and now I dont care at all. and the combat was fun at first but feels pretty stale now, sadly
I got pretty bored of it
