You're literally able to sneak past dudes looking in your direction if their eye sight is slightly to the side of you and you can walk in between people with only a person's width between them as long as they're looking in opposite directions. Enemies are extremely extremely dumb and will continuously fall for noise distractions. It's really annoying, because you can do decent stealth gameplay during base takedowns in the combat mode, but these dedicated sections are just really bad at it.

Also the justifications for their existence are extremely bad. MJ seems to be trying to commit suicide by thug and somehow failing at it.

Metal gear is a fun stealth game. Try that instead

Yea they suck. Luckily they are easy and quick enough to get through. Doesn't detract much from the game imo.

But I do hope they are completely gone in Spiderman 2. Or at least replaced with exciting segments as other characters

Plenty, its just usually games that make stealth a core part of the mechanics instead of just "here's a stealth section".

The problem is that designers want to have their cake and eat it too. They want a stealth section for the variety and possible narrative use, but they don't want to put resources into making it fleshed out, while also not wanting to make it too in depth and intensive such that something that is a glorified mini-game gates progress from the actual meat of the game. What results is the barebones Simon Says stealth we see in many stealth sections.

Miles didn't want to stand in line at a Sable checkpoint for two minutes to get to the homeless shelter so instead he openly and brazenly decides to stealth past an armed security team with drones and armoured vehicles and armed guns and he manages to do so while not three meters away from some of them.

I'm so happy she's insanely hot so it's not so bad as it could be.

Pure smoothbrained "strong independent woman" getting herself into needlessly dangerous situations and needing a man to bail her out.

Payday 2 stealth is really video gamey but that makes it fun.

I didn't mind them much purely because they are dumb easy and you can finish them in about a minute or less.

even the Batman Arkham series had better stealth than this game...

I liked the Far Cry stealth parts. Like clearing out outposts without being seen. That was always fun to me. I always like clearing them with a bow.

People miss the point of MJ's arc in that game. Her behavior is supposed to be seen as unhealthily risky and she learns that she can rely on Peter.

In an alternate timeline "This stealth is bullshit. You get detected if you are within 20 feet of the enemy and anywhere but directly behind them. Its like they can see 270 degrees around them" I've only ever seen one good stealth section in a game where it wasn't a core mechanic. And that was just for the goofy animations.

God I miss both.

Thief and Thief 2 are the pinnacle of the stealth genre, but I find the preachy stealth genre that discourages killing kind of tedious.

I much prefer the Tenchu kill everyone who isnt a civilian style.

But Id give quite a lot for a good entry in either franchise.

I heard in the comics now, MJ has super powers. So maybe someday in a game they will cover that and let her actually fight
