Tried the club on a sub. It was soggy. Still better than subway but thats not saying much. Jersey Mikes is indeed better.

but most any mom and pop deli is even better.

I had chicken from Jersey Mikes and it tasted and felt like I bit into a wet balloon. It was f tier.

Firehouse on the other hand I have never had any quality issues. And they have hot sauce which rules.

See, I can see this as a dividing factor. I fuckin love a New York Steamer from Firehouse. The sloppier/ soggier the bread the better it tastes to me. I had a Jersey Mike's sub and was disappointed by how dry it was.

I didnt dislike it but I wouldnt go a second time considering how many options I have around me

it's a pretty solid sub chain, i used to go a few times a month. the downside was that it's a little pricey. i don't go anymore, but only because i stopped eating meat.

Best meatball sub out there. Actually enjoy most of their subs.

Just hope it continues. Buyouts usually wreck quality.

Probably going to have to look up whatever local italian restuarant in your area and give them a go. Even in my rural as hell area in south carolina we have an amazing one that honestly stomps the absolute hell out of all the chains (its a family owned joint that has been around since the early 90s and I swear I still have yet to find a meatball sub that comes close to theirs), so don't give up.

Firehouse is the best sub restaraunt there is. It's not a local thing. It's a pretty widespread chain, though a lot of states don't have it.

Everything there is good, and if you go in-person they have a ton of spices and sauces you can add.

It goes:

Firehouse > Jersey Mikes's = Which Wich > Jimmy John's > Quizno's > Subway

I am actually surprised no one who went to firehouse subs besides myself mentioned just how good their cherry limeade is. I know people who go there just because they are craving that drink more than the sandwich itself, lol.

Had it once, it was ok not great. Lots of better options around.

Had it a few times with the same opinion.

One time, the meat had been frozen and hadn't fully thawed. No bueno.

I love their sweet and spicy meatball and the brisket one.

Firehouse is great. My favorite sandwhich place is a local joint, but Firehouse is the best chain.

Yeah local chains tend to be the best. Enough of a brand to maintain standards but not too big where the ingredients regress in quality to meet the demand of mass production.
