A very strange gimmick where someone pretended to be a girl who never showered and reveled in their bad personal hygiene. They took "selfies" of themselves holding up a sign that said StinkPrincess, in order to make the account seen as a legitimate person.

It turned out the girl in the photo was taken from some random generic picture, and the sign was photoshopped, and the photo did not have that sign on it. It didn't mean much in the grand scheme of CE lore, but it was just a funny enough, yet not crazy enough thing to hold a special place in my heart.

That person was a good sport about being found out too. He was like "yeah, you got me", bowed and left lol

Sorry no I just feel like people are so excited to discover people lying I wondered if there was anything to get out of it.

My point is that if DarkRoast is lying about themselves, ultimately that doesn't change much of my life.

Nor do I regret any support I've given.

Alright. No one gets much of anything on Gamefacks of all places, it's a place to kill time, and drama is definitely a way to do so. I don't see what meaningful value you'd get off this websight but you do you, boo.

Treating the drama like it's meaningful value is what I object to.

Particularly when the drama involves trying to "solve the mystery" of a person's private life.

yeah discovering someone is lying or using an alt is like 1 of 3 things left to do on this site.

I don't think anyone thinks this drama is adding anything meaningful to their lives, besides you, but you're just accusing others of doing so. Like pointing at thin air and saying that's the culprit. Kinda just like...lol, odd?

Yeah I don't buy that given the size of this topic, which you were an active participant in well before I was, so no, this little tactic of tossing it back on me is as thin as your arguments usually are.

I mean, Im sure they had their reasons for whatever the lie is, but also theres a pretty small group of genuine posters on this board, and for me personally an even smaller group of parents here, so its hard not to feel bamboozled when someone is exposed in a lie.

Of course we dont know the full extent of the lie, and obviously theyve documented struggles on here that Im sure are real

Its the balance between not taking this board too seriously and there are real people on here often talking about real issues

Okay, so you do consider it personal to you given you believe you had a fellow parent you could talk to and now that belief is in question. I can understand that.

For me, I feel if one's spending time here assuming everyone's full of bullshit, instead of simply focusing on the ones that they trust to be genuine, then there's no value to the time spent here at all.

And from what I've observed of the topic, I feel far more that there are people in this topic simply attracted to the drama of it all and trying to exploit that.

Its the balance between not taking this board too seriously and there are real people on here often talking about real issues

Oh absolutely. Perhaps I guess my biggest complaint is when other people decide it's time to take this board seriously and it's only when it can be at the expense of others.

Yeah. These people need to stop playing spot the mystery into someone's life despite the fact that they were(apparently?) mocking other users by using an entirely fake life to defend their mocking. There are people absolutely asking for more details and information in this topic for the purpose of going deeper into this.

And if certain people feel "they deserve it because they're a bad person", it only paints them as opportunists for abusive behavior they've always wanted to commit.
