I honestly think somethings off about those numbers they gave.
Why? They aren't particularly surprising. Especially for the first months after the change.

Their entire bet was that the number of account sharers that would now become subscribers would be greater than the number of current subscribers that would stop subscribing...and that doesn't actually feel like too big of a stretch in the short term.

In the short term, I can definitely see that happening.

Either gaining subscribers, or many subscribers upgrading/adding accounts to their existing account.

I just think of my personal experience. My In-Laws would have no issues cutting me a check for $100 to add their house to my account for a year. And I can see many others follow.

I use my Parents account from my apartment and have not been locked out yet. I dont think theyve used it in awhile so I dont know of maybe it doesnt do anything until it detects its being accessed by more than one location.

Probably the only Mario Maker 2 level I'll ever create worth sharing.

Because there are ways to fudge their numbers to make themselves look better. Like saying people switching to a lower tier as people being added.

I'm needing to cut costs and reduce my number of subs and Netflix made that decision very easy; if there's anything I want to watch, I'll just get it another way.

It's a shame because Netflix was the longest continuously subbed account I had (if you count the time I borrowed my parents password. )

That's the part that bothers me the most, as their "Premium" level was made so you could share with multiple screens, regardless of location.

It's like selling someone a car, and then charging them extra for letting someone else drive it.
It's like selling someone a family vacation and then charging them extra if they actually bring their family along

Or paying for 4 movie tickets, but then getting charged extra if some of the ticket holders live in a different house.
