I've been moderated dozens of times in the past 16 years.

At one point, I had 3 180 day purgatories in my mod history

As someone who didn't read much of the site rules before joining GameFAQs. Yes.

Plenty, though my history is clean at the moment.

I average about a post deletion every 2 or 3 months.

If I have gone like 2 weeks without getting one I must be doing something wrong.

Today, in fact, because successful troll was successful and marked all the responses to her trolling as trolling.

Twice in nine years. Once was for using a curse word when I didnt actually use a curse word (I said bleeping or something like that. They said I was trying to evade the restriction on curse words, which is just about the silliest thing I have ever heard as an adult).

The second was on the politics board, I posted a topic about having COVID and some precautions to take. I checked the archives before I posted and saw a number of the same topics that passed fine as related to politics in the past. But hours after I posted it they deleted the post as unrelated to politics (although COVID has been highly politicized, and often discussed on the politics board). Two days after that, the politics board was shut down anyway.

Being a mod seems like a tough job, and I wouldnt want to do it. But the stuff I have been modded for is ridiculous, and made me feel ridiculous for spending time posting here.

Lmao, I definitely have. Some of my alts have even gotten the ol' ban hammer. I think one of my bans was for doing a parody of one of Vegy's topics on an alt, and the admin team didn't like it.

I believe my first warning came very early on. I made a joke topic about how the Alpha Sapphire board needed to show the Omega Ruby board whose boss not realizing that board invasion was considered a serious infraction. I don't even think I had moderations on my account during that warning, I was just a 16-year-old that wanted to create a funny faction war. Considering OR and AS are the same games essentially, I do feel it was perhaps a little harsh, but oh well. I was relatively new, and had very little karma, so looking back, I'm surprised my account wasn't thrown to the woodchippers, and assumed to be an alt of an actual user. Even in 2014, it's not like GameFAQs was drawing in that many regular new users. I mean, it was considered a dying websight back then too.

Probably about to get another one, because there are some truths that cannot be said on this site.

Was modded for offering condolences for a deceased wrestler on a wrestling forum. Havent thought much of the mods here since.

3 times, all without any action taken except for deleting the post.

2 times for the same thing: Shared a link I was not supposed go share, because the host behind was bad. Yeah, okay, fair enough.

3rd time was because of some "spoiler" I still deny up to this day. FFS, if this was a spoiler, no one could talk about the content of the missions at all.

I've been banned once for a joke (I said I was below the age of 13) but managed to get it overturned

This is where my moderations came from too (stating facts).

Just like how cops can arrest you for looking at them funny, mods can delete your posts for any reason.

Long ago I posted a topic on a gaming board and it got moved to the social board via moderation.

On the FFVIi board, someone asked who Sephiroth's mother was, and marked the topic *spoilers inside* so I assumed anyone reading the topic was prepared to have the answer spoiled. I was wrong and got modded for not marking my specific post as a spoiler.

Two times I got blocked for talk of self harm. Was threatened that a third time would result in a ban, so yeah, I'm keeping to myself more
