There are three things we all have to do alone: be born, die and you know the third.

...well, the good news is, if you're male and take care of yourself.... you're going to be a pretty hot commodity in about forty years or so.

You don't need a wife and children to avoid "dying alone".

I've got my brothers and sisters and a close circle of really good friends that I talk with literally every day and I'm on pretty friendly terms with most of my coworkers and the community. I've never been worried about dying alone even though I likely won't have children or get married.

When guys my age talk about dying alone due to not having a wife and kids I realize now they have no real family, friends and get no pussy. Theres no other way. Youre not alone simply because you arent tied to a woman.

In fact you could have a lot more female company more often. Also kids? Why cant you foster, adopt or volunteer? I volunteered with kids when I was 19 till about 26. My older brothers wife is unable to get pregnant and they have fostered 3 kids.

You guys ought to just say Im sad that I dont get laid to be more accurate.

Pretty sure adoption / foster services don't look kindly upon single men (or single women, for that matter).

I'm 29 and don't want kids. Tryna find someone that doesn't want kids either.

Most people end up dying alone, the fantasy a sizable portion of parents have about their kids constantly coming to hang out with them at the nursing home just isn't realistic.

Nah you got plenty of time. Mid 30s-40s is a good time to still date because all the hot chicks you went to school with have lowered their standards or have kids that are grown lol.

My uncle got married for the first time in his late 40s. Its never too late.

While I did already have children, I had to start over at 40 in terms of finding friends and learning how to date and everything. I managed to do it.

Never too late, my brother went from having zero prior relationships to happily married with a kid at 38.

I watched a loved one pass in front of me. There was zero recognition at the end. Even when they're not alone, they're still alone. Death sucks.

OP, they always say work on being happy alone first before you look for relationships to make you happy. I don't know how well that will work for you, but it might be something you could look into.

With that attitude, yes.

36 really isn't that old in the grand scheme of things. There's people who start families much older.

Same, but a bit older. The loneliness hurts, and at this point I'm not even sure finding someone would fix it.

It's so ingrained at this point that it feels more like a personality trait rather than a circumstance.

My brother is 42 and is no way close to having a wife, let alone kids.

At least he's rich, but I can only imagine the loneliness he experiences

I'll be 35 in a month. Never had a girlfriend.

Turning 31 next month and have never even been on a date... So I feel ya...

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that.

I know the idea of breeding a woman sounds really fun but kids are the worst past that part.

38 and never been married or have kids. Kinda glad since everybody I see with a wife/husband or kids seems to be an emotional drain.

Its a lot of work but at this point in my life I dont know what else Id do with myself.

I admit that many people let that happen. My ex wife and I certainly did. But I learned how to truly enjoy myself since then.

I'm 38, two kids, no wife, live with parent. I'm gonna die alone.

even married people die alone

also, trend is people getting married much later, or not at all, you aren't really in a weird position

I am also 36 and have no kids and wife. Ive never really been lonely though. Pretty much always with somebody, just havent married them.

I think I will get married in the next year or two though.
