We're talking a society that's relatively mono-cultural for thousands of years and never experienced the types of racial disparity Americans do. They mostly dealt with ethnicity and nationality issues. Not trying to excuse the Japanese but why act surprised? Humble_Novice 06/24/23 10:27:54 PM #6:	As much as I prefer a diverse cast, even I know that demanding or shaming Japan to do better is counterproductive. While it may not seem like it at first glance, this game has given us LGBTQ+ representation in the form of ~~Dion~~ while a number of NPCs are indeed people of color, though more of the Middle Eastern variety. --- Miss the old GameFAQs politics board? The game leans heavily on the effects of slavery and how people treat slaves as sub-human. Imagine if the game had dark-skinned people that happened to be part of the slave trade? I'm sure the actual reason was they didn't want major backlash.
