It's pretty great to be doing a job that I actually like instead of a job that I'm just content with.

It's a job I've worked at before. It's just been 10 years since I've worked there.

At the stage of my life that I'm at now, I'm really happy to have a job like this again.

It's always on the back of my mind. My job is filled with people who get shit done and are underpaid and overpaid assholes who are never even there. Policies that don't make sense. The company is kinda on the downhill side of things, but for me i'm pretty much being left alone. I get A LOT of lee way because nobody knows exactly what the fuck I do on any given day and they're really backed against the wall since I have more permissions to do shit than even the VP. I get a shit ton of freedom so it's worth dealing with the so far minor horse shit.

In the past year it's literally the only thing in my life that hasn't changed so i'm not ready to mess with it yet.

I'm probably gonna have to do that fairly soon.

Might even slightly change up careers though definitely stay in the same overall industry.

I'm in a group currently that I got in while still a newb to my line of work a couple years ago...but then I climbed up to about as high as I can possibly go while getting thru a bunch of layoff rounds and firings. But now I don't really see much room for advancement. And though I do enjoy the job I don't have kids and I know could easily move around to wherever for way more money doing literally the same crap I do now if not something a bit different.

I'm gonna start doing some decorating of my work area soon. I'm gonna put up some death metal and crust punk posters on the walls.

I'll post pics in the future once it's done.

My old job was working in an industrial woodworking plant making cabinet doors. It wasn't a bad job but I did the exact same thing every single day and got very burnt out on it.

There's a lot more variety in my day with my printing job. Even though I technically do the same thing every day, there's a lot of different things I print and on different materials, so it's never quite the same.

Plus I get to listen to whatever music I want all day.

Nice, having some variety makes the day go faster.

Reminds me, I need a pair of iPhone headphones, all these kids with AirPods at work are pissing me off

I bought some new headphones recently. Getting to listen to music at work is a game changer.

I didn't find room for these in the ol' homestead, but they're definitely going up on the work wall.

Here's a cool collage I made from Pork that I'll put up at work.

I censored part of it because I'm sure there's some nerd who's on patrol and just looking for posts to mark so that they can be the one to make a Warned/Suspended topic.
