Only done this in Dishonored and Undertale. Don't know where else possible.

I prefer doing the opposite, killing as many people as the game will let you.

Undertale and the Dishonored series are the only ones I remember where I enjoyed doing the Pacifist run.

Not really. Stealth games would be an exception though. Nothing quite as thrilling as moving like a ghost undetected by anything.

I tried doing a pacifist run my first time playing Dishonored, and it made me dislike the game.

Only up until I meet an npc that's too annoying.

To those that do: I dare you to try and do a Pacifist run of Touhou 4's extra stage.

The "get hit and you lose your weapon" mechanic completely ruined Adventure Island for me. It's not fun slinking away from enemies with your tail tucked between your legs. Defeating enemies is fun. A game can still be challenging, but enemies that can't be beaten or can't be retaliated against should not be a thing in video games. If we're not supposed to hit them, just make the obstacle a mine or a swinging ball 'n' chain or something. Don't place a sniper on a roof where it's impossible to ever hit them.

No not intentionally. Although i generally dont go out of my way to hike the body count.

If you voluntarily wish to evade enemies without fighting them, that's your business. But for the programmer to place the player in a cage and poke them with a sharp stick, with no means of retaliation, is just wrong.

It's all for you, and it's just plain wrong to do something you don't like.

Nope. Games like GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, I loved to shoot anything that moved.

It's not fair for a programmer to say, "You lose, deal with it." It's okay to have a pick up and die game where you have to learn how to play the game through repeated trial and error. It's baseline unfair to have victory against specific enemies forever held out of reach.

Sounds like the game isn't for you. It's fine to be disappointed that they changed the game in a manner you don't like, but the devs don't owe you anything.
The fact that you tried to make this about morality and everything else makes you seem pretty entitled.

I am entitled to a fair chance. So is every gamer.

I got a decent amount of the way through Torment: Tides of Numenera, and you barely have to fight anyone, let alone kill.
