-I really hope they fix Bowser's abysmal stat growth and equipment. Cuz holy cow, at max level even Mallow hits harder than him.
-Add a Hard Mode so it isn't babby's first RPG >_>
-Make 100 Super Jumps not fucking impossible
-Add a boss for the 4th star, because just picking it up randomly was weird
-Don't make Pick Me Up so fucking broken to use

YES! I really hope they actually let us switch out Mario. I kinda doubt it though given that all the team attacks they showed in the trailer have Mario in the group >_>

But I played a hack that let you switch out Mario and it was fun to experiment with different party configs without him.

Just rebalance equipment / skills / stats. Bowser should be the hardest hitter and peach shouldn't be able to make your team unkillable.

The first RPG I ever played, and still one of my favorites

I hope it gets cancelled and Nintendo apologizes for not just getting their nutsack in order and make a deal with Square to release the original on Switch, and then they apologize for making the virtual console a subsvription thing, cancels it and just throws all the games unto the store for purchase and then they officially declare that video game remakes are Hitler-worshipping garbage.

But srsly (or maybe I am srs), balance it better, a hard mode, maybe a few new bosses

Better balancing in terms of character growth.
Make Mallow and Geno better. Maybe incentivize character swapping. I would have loved a change to the battle system where it was a 5 person party.
Playable Luigi as an endgame/NG+ secret.

I would be interested in some new original areas, whether sidequests or post-game content. It could be neat to have an expanded postgame with an original story, assuming it's written by competent people.

I would like to see it turned into a platformer a la Super Paper Mario to have others share in my misery.

Seeing as they had Link and Samus cameos in the OG, it'd be kind of neat if other random newly-created-since characters made cameos. Wario, the Splatoon characters, Pikmin, etc

If there was a secret boss fight against Ganondorf though.......my god that'd be awesome.

It looks like they have indicators on when to hit the button

Some fun extra content, like other Mario villains as extra fights.

Some kind of boss rush or challenge mode.

More balanced fighting mechanics and enemies that can really prove a challenge

Other than those I'm perfectly fine. It seems the combat is getting a slight touch up so I hope they tweak other stuff too

My dream is that it sells well enough to get Super Mario RPG 2.

Mario gets a keyblade

-Don't remove Culex or the FF4 boss theme. Something tells me that they will, especially if Square isn't involved with the remake (are they?).

-Don't make Pick Me Ups restore full health. Half or even a quarter of your health would go a long way in increasing the challenge of the game.

-Make Bowser actually worth using beyond the first 2 hours he joins you.

-Group Hug needs a nerf. Like...badly. It even cures status effects on top of basically guaranteeing a full health restore for the entire party, since the action command timing for it is extremely generous.

-Playable Yoshi (not likely, sadly)

-Balance the game better in general. Mallow becomes irrelevant as soon as Peach joins, and since Bowser sucks so badly, there's no reason to use anyone but Geno and Peach. Otherwise you're basically knowingly gimping yourself.

-Either get rid of the Super Jump rewards entirely or make them easier to obtain.

-An option to switch between the classic and rearranged soundtracks.

-

There's a bunch of potential balancing issues that should be addressed. Most have already been said (stronger bosses, nerfing items, etc.), but here's one I didn't see yet: Make the characters actually fit their archetypes better.

Mario is the balanced all-rounder, Mallow is the all magic no physical black mage, Geno is the all attack no defence glass cannon attacker, Bowser is the all physical no magic warrior and Peach is the bad at everything but can heal white mage. You can tell this is what they were going for based on their early states and growth, but by the end I think the only one who fit their archetype was Bowser except his physical was worse than everyone else's too.

They should also fix the magic attack stat. It feels like by the end of the game, most single target spells are inferior to just attacking because there's so much equipment that raises attack but barely anything that raises magic (and the ones that do also raise attack at the same time lol).

So you're only gonna be using support spells or AoE spells by the end game >_>

And with her ultimate weapon she rivals mario in physical attack
Her being the most overpowered party member is part of the games charm and hopefully not changed

In all seriousness, this will never happen because the Bowsers Inside Story remake made so little profit, it caused AlphaDream to go bankrupt. Sad.

I hadn't really played an RPG prior to the release of this game, so after playing it and later watching friends play other titles with different mechanics I asked myself "why does Mario RPG cap at Lv 30?", and I'm curious if this remaster may expand on that and go further.

Buff Mallow and Bowser and nerf Geno and Peach so they're all worth using. That's all I really want because having a party of just Geno and Peach all the time is really lame.

Nerfing isn't necessary, just bring the useless ones up to par. Nerfing ruins fun.

you do know you dont need to use geno and peach at all right?
you can bench them and just use mallow and bowser for a different experience
you dont always need to play most optimally in an rpg. just use who you like. no one is forcing geno and peach on you
