Every billionaire fights to the death in one on one battles until only one remains, winner takes all of their wealth.
Billionaires are greedy to the point of insanity so they would all participate willingly.

But when there's only one survivor they won't get any of the money. All they get is a pizza party (and getting to live I guess)

I genuinely pity those who are so unhappy with their own lives that they have to take joy in the death of a stranger because they had more money than them.

I don't think the two are related at all

They were going through the process of getting a legitimate Hunger Games live reality series in Russia, dropping a bunch of people in a large wilderness and the last literal survivor wins the money. It was going to be covered in cameras and have an ongoing live stream apparently. This was a couple years back, assuming even though it's Russia it still got shot down in the process, or the war ended it.
