Recovery is pointless.

Seriously waste of resources. High chance there isn't even anything you could even call a body to recover. If they were finding pieces of the vessel...likely bodies are crumbled/torn apart and scattered. Possibly being eaten by deepsea life.

They are dead. Bodies lost at deep sea shouldn't be recovered. Its too risky, and resource intensive.

We should actually outlaw recovery of bodies using government resources in situations like this unless the full cost is paid for by private entities and that if an actual emergency requires the diversion of those resources the effort will be stopped with no refunds.

Don't fuck with the deep ocean for fun especially if its for THE example of human hubris on the seas. If you do rescue should not be expected and if it is deemed feasible you and/or the operator of the vessel will be charged the full cost of the effort.
