They heard knocking, so we can assume that the "boat" is still whole.

And I honestly expected them to be able to somewhat triangulate that. Ofc not with pinpoint accuracy, but with a general direction at least. Doesn't seem to helped them that much, but it has to be some kind of hint at least.

So I still think that there is a decent chance to find them. The problem is the "when" and the "alive". The time limit is brutal.

theres all sorts of noises down there. its the best lead theyve got but its not certain to be the sub

although if the noise stops now that the oxygen is out, the noise probably was them

No, it's pretty sure that it was the sub.

According to experts it's a standard procedure in such cases that you knock a lot at every full and half hour for 3 minutes, so you are actually distinguishable from the natural noises, and they did exactly that.

Assuming that the report / interview I read was correct and not some bullshit, but it sounds legit.

You can bet on anything

the one gambling site I use has a celebrity death section where they pit two celebrities up against each other and you pick which will die first. Then there are pools where it has ten different celebrities all with different odds and you pick which one you think will die first
