And not like the stupid shit you see in films, or tv shows, vast majority of people should be able to survive just fine from them right? I'm talking the slow moving traditional zombies, not the sprinting ones. And also taking the virus itself out of the account. Just the slow hordes. Unless you were a child, disabled, sick, or the elderly, I don't see how anyone that's reasonably fit can be in any danger from them.

Yeah this. Before Covid, I'd say it's unlikely that a zombie apocalypse would ever reach catastrophic levels before we stopped it.

But now... We'd have people refusing to follow guidance, and just outright denying it, no matter what... Right up until they themselves got bit... It would get bad

Yeah realistically, any zombie type of apocalypse would end like Night of the Living Dead did, where its a tense horror movie for like, a day or two and then people regain control.

Though this would also depend on people not completely losing their shit and refusing to behave competently. We saw during Covid all the people who basically willingly gave themselves covid just to stick it to the authorities trying to help resolve the whole thing safely.

We're due for some modernised zombie movies.
Focusing on how people deny the outbreak's existence, spread propaganda and try to one-up each other by showing how unafraid of it they are.
It wouldn't be one character hiding a bite either, it'd be happening left and right.

We saw how they acted watching their loved ones dying right in front of them during Covid. They would deny they are dying and then when they died they would say it wasn't from the zombies but from *insert thing Joe Rogan is saying here* instead.

You got me thinking, it's overlooked just how strong viruses in fiction are. Even superheroes who can resist molten lava and getting slammed into space are often able to be affected by them.

It's not just the zombies, it's people.

People wouldn't take it seriously, and some would even let themselves get bitten because they're confident nothing would happen. Hell there would be people having someone bite them and say "See? It's all fake!!! Stop being sheep!!!" Which would cause a certain group of people to continually spread that around.

And eventually it gets to the point where the military is called in, but the military isn't just dealing with zombies, they're dealing with people rioting/protesting. Too make it worse, if it's a TWD situation everyone that dies becomes a threat, and the start will be the worst of it.

Confusion, fear, stupidity, all of these are going to affect how it all plays out. And when things go from bad to worse the big guns will come out, maybe that will turn the tide.

Realistically, we don't know how a zombie situation would play out, maybe we'd actually be smart about it, but I doubt it.

Did you see how people handled Covid? Even if they were the weakest, slowest moving zombies, that died on their own of dehydration after 3 days, and are already falling apart due being decomposed, more than 80% of the population would perish. Thats not a hyperbole. People are that stupid, particularly republicans since they would turn it into a political issue, again

Somehow and somewhere, there would be a group of people saying that we shouldn't kill zombies.

Realistically....if it happened in the US, it'd be over in a day lol. There are more guns in the U.S than there are people. There might be a few people that get bitten and become one, but once you know it's happening, people would just hunt them down easily. If you really think about it, covid is more dangerous than a zombie apocalypse

People in real life are dumber then actors in movies.
