Hello,

I love my parents and as i have gotten older I noticed that without them I will be very sad and not sure what to do with myself, I have lived several states away for the last 10 years only seeing fam twice a year moving back home , both work a lot and tough for them to vaca but always have off one week in summer to spend time with all. ive had 2 jobs last 10 years since i moved

I may get another job(job i always wanted since H.S) offer later this week and prior to this summer i was gonna move back home to be with my parents more and spend time with them. if I take this new job, im going to do it for 2 years then maybe launchpad that for a job closer to home. i haven't told my parents im homesick and they want me to live out my life as I want and encourage me to take job if I get it.

i am torn tho because I want to be with them more and more. this new job I wont be able to see them as often, maybe once a year or twice a year even tho they said they would come visit

anyone ever have a situation with career and home balance etc? any advice to give. i might prolly have regret for not taking this job offer but the ultimate regret will always nto spending enough time with family. i think about taking the new job for 2 years then moving home at least i got to live it out for 2 years whatever that means

what do you make of this

This is really sweet and your parents should be really proud of their relationship with you. That said, listen to your parents and go off and live your life. They sound awesome and you should listen to them

It seems that TC does feel tethered though.

You shouldnt. Personally, I dont even live in the same continent as my family and its never been a major problem.
