You know when they do that slow walk during a cinematic moment or talking to other characters? I hate that. That happens way too much in modern gaming. I played through Final Fantasy 7 remake recently, and it happens too much. There's too many corridor loading areas too. ugh. Red Dead redemption 2 has some janky, slow movement too. It's too slow! Get a move on!

Yes, its a big pet peeve. Either make it a cutscene so I can put the controller down and look at my phone, or give me actual control of the character. None of my experience is enhanced by having to also hold forward while a character regurgitated exposition at me

Yes. I tried playing Fallout 3 after Fallout 4 and I gave up eventually, largely because of how slow it felt like the game moved. Not even just my character, but everything generally felt slower.

Yeah, it can be really annoying.

Especially when a character doesn't have a run button and does a jog, or awkward slow run the entire time. FF16 demo is kinda guilty of this

I don't mind it, for the most part, especially if it's to mask loading, or something like that.

I prefer it to sitting down and watching longer cutscenes, at least, it those slow walking segments provide story related content.

Exactly. It's just annoying having to hold up on the controller for so long while your character moves like a snail. Just make a cutscene. My hands and wrists are getting old. I can't keep doing these monotonous tasks.

Remember in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and beyond how they had it where if you were following someone the game would set it so that you could automatically follow them at their pace without your input? More games should do that.

Not always, but I remember being infuriated playing Parasite Eve with how slow Aya moved. Even running wasnt much better!

Yup i hate these walky talky sections so many games have now. The dialogue is never interesting, you can tell because they didnt dedicate a cutscene to it and I think the reason devs do it though is to mask loading screens.

I was just reminded of that all the characters in the GTA games have a fairly brisk walking paceexcept Tommy Vercetti.
He walks like he has a half-inserted carrot in his rectum.
