For the most part. I got hit with a question out of nowhere and I spun it well, but it's something that will probably take me out of the running.

Same, works for me. I made a bunch of google voice numbers, facebook pages, and linked ins for fake people too to use as references and it has worked like a charm.

I don't live in the market...so...no? I spun it as, "Outside of my friends and their companies, it's limited. But throughout my career, I have worked and partnered with many fortune 500 companies and have built those relationships. I'd easily be able to step into your city and build from there."

Yeah but when the recruiter was explaining what the hiring manager was looking for after these questions, the first thing was "She wants someone with established relationships". I'm like...fuck.
