Last topic purged because I took a day off playing the FFXVI demo

Anyway, Izanami wasn't the final boss because now she popped up as the second boss in this loop.

Saved the little girl. Now it's Max's turn again.

And with 4 bosses down, that's the farthest I've gotten.

Maxed Nini's stats and Micchi got possessed.
Hopefully I just steamroll the game now.

My theory is that Konoha is the final boss.

First time that shows up. All the times prior it was a Kegsi breaking the barrier. This pretty much confirms it.

So I went with Konoha and the entire world is absolutely fricked now.

I do have a prior save to check the other ending and the game has New Game+

In the other ending, Konoha dies, the world is saved and Nini becomes the protagonist from Iroduku: The World in Colors.

I was able to beat the game in 3 loops, but like I mentioned in the previous topic, one of the teachers died at the start of this loop. I don't know if there are any merits to keeping everyone alive or for killing everyone, but given the nature of the two endings I got, I suspect there must be a "true" ending.

Like I suspected, game reviewers put a hit on this one. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but knowing that it's a "roguelite visual novel RPG" should tell you right off the gate if the game will appeal to you or not.

I'm undecided if I should play Trials of Mana, Tokyo Mirage Sessions or Relayer while FFXVI comes out.

Anyway, here's my full doctoral dissertation in case anyone wants to read my full thoughts on the game.
I recommend it if the concept sounds at all interesting to you.

I have played all 3 of those games. What type of game are you looking for? I could offer my opinion on which of the 3 I feel you'd maybe enjoy most based on your taste.

Basically looking for a game that's not too long, since I'm going to focus on XVI mainly and be playing the other as a side.
I played FE Engage recently for over 200 hours, so I fear I might get strategy RPG fatigue if I go for Relayer. However, I'm all up for it if it's recommended.
I also don't want to commit to long games since the game I beat most recently before Loop8 was Elden Ring.

So, in that case, I'd recommend Relayer or Trials of Mana.

Neither are overly long. Relayer is a rough gem. I adored it, it has some amazing battle animations, and story is right on the cusp of being really interesting, but never quite makes it there. Gameplay is solid, but shallow compared to other SRPGs.

Trials of Mana is just a fun classic. Very good replayability, simple but fun arpg-like combat, just with a turn timer. Story is pretty standard snes jrpg, but not a bad thing of you like em.

Edit: I didn't recommend Tokyo Mirage Sessions, despite it being my favorite on the list and a game I absolutely love and plan to replay soon, because it's a longer game.
