70+ games on Steam and yet I generally play a game for a few hours and get bored, no matter how much I like the game.

Can't even explain why it happens, sometimes I can play for hours and not get bored, but then I go through phases like this where everything just feels like a slog.

Anyone else experience this?

28 hours on steam this week alone.

Again, this only happens sometimes.

Yeah, I grind through my backlog until something clicks, a lot of times nothing does and I go back to something I know I like. Rarely I stumble on something that hooks me hard, maybe 3 games a year. Midnight Suns was the last one I played to completion within a couple weeks of starting, and sank about 100 hours. It just doesn't happen much anymore though.

This cycle has resulted in about an 800 game backlog in my Xbox digital library.

Sometimes that happens but once you find and play a really good game, you sorta get back into it. Try Yakuza 0

Sounds like you're burnt out. Try a different game or hobby, or figure out if you're like that for some other reason

I dont believe this. I thought I was growing out of it for a bit too. Went months without playing. Got Diablo 4 and I have played the shit out of it.

Think TC is just playing the wrong games and/or burnt out.

The ONLY game in my entire life that has always endured and will always endure is Pokemon. Its the ultimate comfort food game because its so damn simple and the stakes are so low. Everything else comes and goes so quickly from interest.
