It's because the light novel website that most of them were originally posted to has thousands of entrees and the people there have found that the best way to get people to click on yours versus anything else is to basically have your title be a description of what the reader is going to be getting into. It doesn't sound particularly any better in Japanese, but at the same time the whole concept of "sounding better" is a bit nebulous due to cultural differences.

That said, in this case the title isn't really what the anime is about. It's click-bait.

With how anybody can publish their own web novels in Japan, those with very descriptive titles tend to garner enough recognition to be able to turn their work into an officially-published light novel, manga, anime, etc. Danmachi is one of those cases.
