I've heard multiple times that some believe that Biden should have to "earn" the nomination again.
I'm not sure why this is the first election I've heard this, but incumbent presidents never need to go through the process of being nominated again, so not sure why Biden would.

No, that's fucking stupid and just gives Republicans more ammo in the general election.

Would the DNC allow that though?

yes they do need to be nominated again

it happens so that most of the time that nobody primaries a sitting president

but it does happen on rare occasion, like when Ted Kennedy challenged Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Is there currently a Democrat on the national stage who has a chance of successfully beating him in the primaries?

I don't think private parties are obligated to hold primaries, let alone waste resources on primarying a popular incumbent.
Should the DNC hold the vote? Sure.
Debates? No, I don't care. No one is entitled to a stage with Biden at this point.
If he's not left enough for you, get more Congresspersons. He's already more left than any agenda he can pass.

Also most of the people crying about him being defaulted in aren't even actual registered democrats so fuck their opinion.

No. Anyone saying so is lying to themselves and politically stupid.
The idea is to push him left (make him less viable in the general)

Okay, so someone can challenge, but it's not going to have the same attention as a normal primary process

Pretty sure the party can make him run primaries again, but it has never ended well for parties when it happens. It would pretty much guarantee a GOP victory.

Democracy isn't a vote every 3 seconds. You get your democracy in the general as outlined in the Constitution.

Okay, I was just confusing the lack of attention and debates as not having a primary. This topic has clarified that

Is this going to be another Bernie math topic that doesn't except reality that most didn't want him. Or that polls =/= actually voting in the actual general and primary elections?

"My polls my polls! Bernie supports M4A, M4A is popular, Bernie should win!"
/Doesnt understand the complex sociological reasons that drive voter turnout.

Why he brought up Bernie in regards to the 2024 election, in regards to whether or not pushing Biden left makes him more or less viable is . . . very bad faith.
I'm pretty sure it's some poisoning the well shit.

By far the best primary opponent to replace Biden would be Gavin Newsom and hes not running. He will definitely be the 2028 front runner though.

Absolutely the fuck not. If republicans TRULY believed in this, they would have allowed Donnie to be primaried.

They're just dishonest, entitled, whining little shits who are bitter that Biden beat that loser and they're desperate for any angle they can use to try to get their cult leader back in the white house. Getting Biden out and replacing him with someone like Williamson (for Cheeto to easily beat) is their wet dream.
